Inaugurated in 1940, this architectural gem is brimming with exotic fruits, fragrant flowers, fresh fish, and local crafts, oh and the best bananas and passionfruit in the country. Don't miss the upper floors for souvenirs and the chance to sample some of Madeira's unique produce. Fridays and Saturdays are particularly lively!

 

Azores (Ponta Delgada)

• Mercado da Graça: Located in Ponta Delgada, this market is a bustling hub of local life for sampling the unique agricultural products. Here, you can find everything from incredibly fresh Azorean pineapples and passionfruit to local cheeses, meats, and handicrafts.
